Luke usually meets with clients on a fee-for-service basis. Please request a rate and discount chart for fees for different kinds of services, at Luke@AdamsTynan.org .

Luke also provides psychotherapy through several private health insurance panels. These include:

 

• Traditional Medicare (USA, as of 2024)

 

• Cigna panels

 

• Blue Shield of California PPO (but not the Magellan panels)

 

• Optum and United Health panels

• Blue Cross - Blue Shield of Illinois, and of elsewhere in the USA (but not Anthem Blue Cross of California)

 

In terms of psychotherapy-only, the “Usual and Customary Rate” for a session with Luke is $320 per clinical hour – which is discounted to $250 per clinical hour for those who pay directly (i.e., the “cash rate”). There are also certain community discounts and bulk discounts - please ask. 

 

Luke will provide Superbills for you to bill your own health insurance if your plan will provide you some measure of reimbursement for private sessions. He also advises that you consult with your appropriate tax advisor to investigate the tax exemptions and deductibility of sessions, as these are potentially quite significant.​
